# About conversion

GemUSD is always convertible into legal tender or stable coins as determined by GEMFOREX, with a guaranteed redemption rate of $1 per GemUSD.

The market may drop below 1 GemUSD = $1.00 due to dynamic changes in the buyer-seller balance. In that case, buyers who acquired 1 GemUSD below $1.00 will naturally be under buying pressure to redeem their GemUSD to earn a profit margin, and the market price will return to $1.
